Kleinheisler: Diary from the Spanish training camp

The youngster gives his third update about what has been going on out in Spain

"Hello from Spain! An important event has taken place since my last diary at the training camp. We finally played our first friendly match. I was really missing playing, so it was good to get back out there on the pitch. We were also up against a very good side. I will honestly say that based on our training session on Saturday, I was not counting on starting against Rijeka on Sunday. The manager went through the tactics before the game at the hotel. It was then that he announced his starting eleven. José Gomes goes through his tactics in English, and the senior members of the squad like Toth, Sandor and Juhasz all help by translating for the young players. The manager asked us to attack with more aggression against the Croatian side, to get hold of the ball quicker and to have more possession.

We managed to partly carry this out, as our first goal came as a result of us aggressively closing them down, which caused confusion in the Rijeka defence. I was not satisfied with my own game, as I was quite tired, which means that I will need to improve on my stamina, while I did not always do what I am capable of doing in games. I played as a forward in the second half, which is a position that I am not really used to, as opposed to playing on the wings. I still set up Oliveira for his goal, but the main contribution in the build up came from Sandor, who did very well to get hold of the ball in the opponents half. The 2-2 result was a fair one based on the overall picture of the match.

We had a morning training session on Monday, with the afternoon being free. Some of us went for a walk in the town centre, while others headed for the beach. I headed for a massage and then slept for a long time as I was really tired. When I awoke, I went down to the beach with Mate Papp. The weather was nice and sunny and we found many seashells on the beach. I made a heart out of them for my girlfriend.

There are two training sessions on Tuesday, with the morning session probably being the harder one. We practice set pieces and tactics in the afternoon sessions usually. Then we will have another friendly match on Wednesday. I hope that my own game will be better in that match and that we can beat Lokomotiv Plovdiv. That is all for now and I will write another diary for vidi.hu later in the week. Take care!
