Istvan Vad took charge of last season's game between the two, which ended in a 2-2 draw
Videoton take on KTE on Saturday at the Sostoi stadium. Experienced match official Istvan Vad will referee the match.
Videoton take on mid table side Kecskemet on Saturday afternoon, which kicks off at 17:30pm. The Hungarian FA have named experienced match official Istvan Vad for the match, with Vidi aiming to pick up three points and take another step towards closing the gap with the top two sides, Debrecen and Győri ETO, who meet each other on the same day. The official last took charge of a match involving Videoton, back in 2009, in a match which saw Debrecen win 1-0, thanks to a goal from Gabor Demjen. He ended up sending off two Vidi players in the final 15 minutes, and also disallowed a goal for the home side in the first half. Vad also refereed last season's 2-2 draw between the two at the Sostoi, with Vidi heading towards the first division title.
Istvan Vad began playing football in his youth at Rakosmenti TK, moving on to Ferencvaros and then BVSC. He took his refereeing badge in 1995, and took control of youth games, due to his young age. Vad made his first division debut in a match involving Sopron and Videoton in 2004. He has been a member of the FIFA group of officials since 2007, and took control of his first international game at the age of 27. He also ended up refereeing in the Champions league in October 2010, along with Viktor Kassai, after just three and a half years as a FIFA referee.
