The two managers shared their thoughts shortly after the final whistle.
Imre Szabics:
Congratulations to Kisvárda for the victory. We had serious problems with their aggressive and direct style in the first twenty minutes, although they played good football and closed down the areas well afterwards. I can't fault the players for the performance after the twentieth minute, they did their best to make sure we left with a point or points. In the second half of the game we were dominating the pitch, but we need to improve in converting that dominance into goals. We did have chances, but luck was not on our side when it came to finishing. We are very disappointed, we have to work to make up for lost points for the rest of the season.
Gábor Erős (Kisvárda caretaker boss):
If we keep this up, I'll have grey hairs... but I'm terribly happy! Perhaps you won't think me pretentious if I say that we deserved the three points. We were prepared for a strong start, the team did what we asked of them. Against MTK, and again today, we were able to take the lead early in the game. We had several chances, I can only feel a minimal sense of inadequacy that we didn't convert more chances into goals. I've been here since 2014, it was hard to imagine our situation then. The strength of the club is shown by how far the team has come since then. I have been given this job as caretaker coach for a period of time, and we will try to get as many points as possible in the remaining two games.
