TNS won 1-0 in normal time, but a Gyurcso goal in extra time saw Vidi go through. Belarus side BATE Borisov are next.
Vidi went in to the second leg with a 1-0 lead under their belts following the first leg game with The New Saints. Very warm weather of 30c+ greeted the two sides at kick off. The new exciting adidas kit was on show for the first time.
The first chance fell to the visiting side as Wilde escaped his defender before shooting in to the side netting from a tight angle. The reply came in the 9th minute. Gyurcso sent in a cross that ended with Fejes showing good movement to strike at goal from 7 meters. That produced a smart stop from keeper Harrison. Gyurcso sent a high ball in 5 minutes later, which saw Patkai cut the ball back for the arriving Oliveira to hit a low shot beyond the post. The 24th minute saw a shot from Wilde that flew just wide of the right post. The action continued with a good curling free kick from Gyurcso, which again went just wide of the target.
Ivanovski then showed good pace to take the ball towards the goal line, and his low ball in ended with Oliveira connecting with the ball, which again landed in the hands of keeper Harrison. Vidi kept their opponents under pressure in front of their goal but could not find a way through to score. Ivanovski turned and shot on 39 minutes that Harrison got his body to, before Gyurcso rolled the ball wide from a tight angle. Ivanovski then found himself through with a chance on goal a minute later. A cross from Oliveira saw the Macedonian forward head is effort to Harrison who was well positioned. The two sides went in at the break with the score at 0-0.
The second half started with Vidi showing plenty of intensity. Gyurcso tried several times but the green and white defence remained solid. Harrison was well placed to deal with shots from Oliveira and Trebotic. The ball came of the foot of Liujckx, before Wilde sent his header wide on 56 minutes. The action continued as both sides battled to break the deadlock. A Marriott corner after 61 minutes saw Wilde head from close range, but Szolnoki was on the goal line to head away the danger. It was the visitor side that scored towards the end. Spender sent a low ball in from the right for the arriving Williams to connect with a find the back of the net. (0-1).
Oliveira had two shots blocked on 82 and 85 minutes, before Kovacs also tested Harrison. Gyurcso could have settled the tie just on full time, but his left foot shot was blocked by a defender. TNS emerged 1-0 winners on 90 minutes. The game then went in to extra time.
Danilovics held a shot from Finley on 107 minutes as the game continued. Gyurcso then found himself at the end of a long ball, before dribbling inside the area and shooting low from 10 meters to score. (1-1).
An Oliveira shot was again blocked on 110 minutes as Vidi continued to press. The referee blew for the end of the game, which saw Vidi progress in to the next round with a 2-1 aggregate win. BATE Borisov now await in the next round.
