Defender Sandor Hidvegi talks about the training camp in Italy
The Videoton squad are currently hard at work in the mountains of northern Italy. The players have been training twice a day for the majority of their time in Brentonico. Defender Sandor Hidvegi spoke about the pre-season period so far:
"We are experiencing several new types of tasks during training sessions. They are very intensive and this is the main difference so far. I am serious when I say that this is a totally different dimension. Fortnuately we have managed to pick up the tempo during training, which Paulo Sousa and the coaching staff expect from us. We had training in the morning followed by lunch. Then the players went into their rooms to relax. Many of them sleep during the two training sessions. There are those who quietly listen to music or watch a film. I thing that the squad will be well bonded and there will be a real togetherness if we carry out what the coaches ask. Both the defenders and the attackers are doing the same things in training. We as defenders are practicing the attacking side of our game, while the forwards go through defensive set plays. Three new players have joined our squad over the last few days. They have blended in well and there are no problems. There is a good atmosphere both on and off the pitch."
