Henning Berg: "I am satisfied with the result but we can play better"

The two managers spoke after the final whistle about the game.

Henning Berg:

"I am sure that the players like the excitement, but there was quite enough of that today. We placed ourselves under great pressure at the start of the game, which saw the home team score a goal. The pressure was also there for our opponents. Another goal would have meant starting the whole battle again. We managed to overcome this and Čukarički did not really have too many chances over the course of the game. We did not play as well as we know we can, but the most important thing for us is that we have gone through. We did not lose the match and carried out nicely a counter attack. I am satisfied with the result, but I know that we can play better than we did."

The home side had manager Milan Lesnjak sent off, which is why Sasa Micovic spoke after the game:

"The battle had already been settled in Hungary following those two individual errors. Our opponents are the only Hungarian club that are still in Europe, which is not by accident. Videoton FC are a good side, and they deserve to go through. Our players did all that we asked of them. We went forward for the second goal and put on two quick players in the second half. That was to try and put more pressure on the visiting team, but we did not have any luck. They then scored the equalising goal - football is like this. I am proud of the players despite going out."
