The club captain is pleased with the Super cup success, but knows that full concentration will now be focused on next week's Europa League game
"It was a great delight for the team that we began the season by winning the Super Cup. The match was important from the viewpoint, that we could measure exactly where we are at the end of our pre-season. I would not say that we needed this match to increase our self-confidence ahead of the Europa League match with Slovan. I feel that the best thing for our own confidence is that we completed the pre-season together and with honor. There were not too many coming's and going's and the majority of our squad remained intact. These things are far more important than just one match. We closed our focus on the Super Cup today, and we will now only concentrate on the Europa League qualifier. The coaching staff will carry out their own full research on Slovan. I am sure that we will receive plenty of information about them, over the next few days, which will be very useful for us on the pitch. It is also important to emphasis at the same time, that we will not be playing our game to suit the opponents. We have a much practised style, which we were successful with up until now. Naturally our aim is to progress into the next round over the two matches." - said captain Gyorgy Sandor to the club's website after Thursday's training session
