The Spaniard has put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Francisco José Ruiz Rojas was born on the 7th January 1971. He has two daughters and lists Almeria and Malaga as his former clubs during his playing career. Rojas suffered a serious leg injury at the age of 27, which forced him to quit playing. He has been a coach ever since, linking up once again with José Gomes at Videoton FC. He spent 5 years coaching the goalkeepers at Malaga. He then moved to their B side in 2010. Vidi's new goalkeeping coach will join up with the first team squad as they fly out to their Austrian training base.
"Videoton FC are not unknown to me. I remember their fantastic run in the UEFA cup in 1985, which saw them reach the final against Real Madrid. I also know Hungarian players in former keeper Jozsef Szendrei. He was Malaga's keeper in the 1987-88 season. I am delighted to have linked up with José Gomes and his coaching staff. We know each other after working together at Malaga when he was part of the coaching staff in 2010. My aim is for the team to win the league title in the coming season. I will do all I can to help them achieve this" - added Rojas, who will take over from Alejandro Rosalen Lopez, who has left the Szekesfehervar club.
