Captain Balazs Farkas made his 304th league appearance in the defence on Sunday
The manager did everything to prepare us ahead of the match. I am familiar with Ujpest so I knew what we were coming up against. Both Gyorgy Sandor and Akos Elek did a lot to help us out at the back, by often coming back to do their bit. Akos did really well, and was very professional in the way he carried out his role in this match. We knew what to do at the set pieces and which players to mark up. I would say that the collective team's defending worked well on the whole, and Ujpest had very few chances to test our keeper. Bozsovics in goal had the chance to enjoy keeping a clean sheet at the Sostoi stadium. It became a bit strange recently that he had not been conceding any goals for his country, but he had been for us at home games."
Vidi.hu was also interested in hearing the thoughts of the team captain, after the autumn season ended against Ujpest at home. "We managed to go through the autumn season without suffering any real dip in form, which does not mean that we did not produce lower than what was expected in some games. We only have to think back to the recent home game with Honved, or the game at Siofok, But I would not call this a lack of form or a slump in mid-season. We currently lead the table by four points, while we finished last season's autumn part with a two point lead. We should also take in to consideration that there may be some players who may not be here when the spring season begins. Every transfer window results in players coming in and going out. The autumn season is now finished, but we still have two vital league games to play over the next two weeks, which will give us the chance to increase our lead at the top.
