Chilean referee for the Paks match

Alvaro Garcia Miquel will take charge of his second match involving Videoton

Sunday's important OTP league match at Paks will be officiated by a foreign referee. Alvaro Garcia Miquel was born in Chile, but moved to Madrid at the age of just four months, with his family. He remained in Spain until the age of 17, and took his refereeing badge in Madrid. He returned back to the country of his birth to study engineering, and continued to referee after returning. He joined the FIFA list of match officials in 2009. He ended up married his wife, who has Hungarian roots. The Chilean Football Association asked their Hungarian counterparts, whether there was any way he continue to referee. He has since gone on to make his debut in the second division and shortly later in the first. The 33 year old has lived in Hungary for over a year now. His first division debut came on the 27th March 2010 in a match between Kaposvar and Paks, where he was the fourth official. He was also the match official for the earlier home game with ZTE this season.
