Our goalkeeper has achieved outstanding results in several indicators in the autumn season.
At the end of the autumn season, the official website of the Hungarian Football Association, mlsz.hu, examined the performance of goalkeepers who played at least 450 minutes in 16 rounds.
Balázs Tóth, who arrived in the summer and kept goal in 13 league games this autumn, was the leader in an important indicator: he boasts the best save efficiency (77.5%), and he also made the second most saves (54), saving at least 3 out of 4 shots that were aimed at his goal on average.
Four goalkeepers managed to go five games without conceding in the autumn, and Balázs Tóth is on this list along with Patrik Demjén, Péter Szappanos and Tamás Markek.
From the expected goals scored value, subtracting the actual goals scored shows whether a goalkeeper underperformed or overperformed compared to the expected. Balázs was outstanding in this area as well, saving our team from nearly 7 goals, which considering he played in 13 matches, means that thanks to him we got 1 goal less than expected in every other match.
