Alves is the autumn player of the season, while Elek is the best discovery

Gyorgy Mezey was voted the best manager of autumn, while the majority of supporters feel that Videoton will win the league.

There were three players to choose from for the player of the autumn season. Andre Alves was one of those, and he ended up sweeping the award, after getting the most votes. Videoton's Brazilian striker currently leads the goal scoring table, so it was no surprise that he ended up top. His performances over the first half of the season have resulted in him deservedly being recognised. Sporting Lisbon and Marseille are currently thought to be tracking the popular forward, who would happily play for the Hungarian national team.

Akos Elek not only set up the 94th minute winner in Finland, but he has also become one of the best players in the Hungarian domestic league. He was voted the find of the autumn season, and the midfielder has tremendous stamina, whether it is with helping out the attack or going back to help out in the defensive areas. The player is very proud that he is playing for Videoton, and for such a manager as Gyorgy Mezey. The experienced manager was also voted best manager of the autumn season, and it comes as no real surprise for the former international manager. He ended up top, 10% ahead of his nearest rival, Ferencvaros manager Laszlo Prukner.
