Alves breaks the goalscoring record

The Brazilian striker scored in the 6th consecutive game at Kecskemet

Andre Alves rewrote the record books on Saturday, when he scored in the 6th consecutive game away at Kecskemet. That made it 8 goals in the last 6, which confirms that the Brazilian is currently in devastating form. Alves managed to break the record set by Gyozo Burcsa, who was the first to achieve 5 consecutive games, back in the 1979/80 season, hitting the back of the net in the second game of the season. He then went on a run, which saw him score in the next four games. Those five games produced six goals for the forward. Jozsef Szabo was next in line in the 1980/81 season, also scoring six goals from five consecutive games. Alves' goal run in the Monicomp league 2010/11 season has seen him find the back of the net in the games with Szolnok, ZTE, Papa and two goals against Haladas. He was also on target against Paks, which saw him equal the 30 year record. Yesterday's goals also made him the current top goalscorer in Hungary.
