NEW SIGNING

Vidi sign new midfielder from Fulham FC!

The 21-year-old Swiss youth international and multiple Premier League squad player Kristian Sekularac will continue his career at Vidi.

The 185 cm tall Swiss midfielder has been snapped up ahead of teams in the UK!

The 21-year-old youth international will further increase Tamás Pető's options, as he can be deployed in midfield and on the wing. In the last two and a half seasons, he has played in the midfield in attacking and defensive roles, as well as on the wing for Fulham's second team, where he has scored 13 goals and provided 6 assists in 52 games and has also been named in the England premier league's matchday squad on four occasions.

Kristian Sekularac was born on the 7th December 2003 in London. With Swiss, English and German nationality, he grew up in the youth teams of Servette FC and has an excellent pedigree, his grandfather being the brother of Dragoslav Sekularac, who died in 2019, one of the best Yugoslav footballers ever, five-time Yugoslav champion, three-time cup winner, Olympic silver medallist, legend of Crvena Zvezda, who also coached the Belgrade club to league and cup titles.

Interestingly, in the 1950s the legendary club president Gianni Agnelli tried to bring Dragoslav to Juventus, but the political leadership of the time vetoed the deal. Kristian has had better luck, joining the Italian record champions in January 2020.

He made his debut for Juventus in the U17s, and in the 2020/2021 season he played 8 matches for the U19s, scoring his first goal against Ascoli. In the 2021/2022 season, he made 22 appearances for Torino's U19 side, scoring a goal and an assist in the league, and also played in two UEFA Youth League matches, scoring a goal and assist in the 4-1 win over Swedish side Malmö.

In the summer of 2022, he moved to England, joining Fulham FC. On 13 November 2022, he was named in the squad to face Manchester United in London, but ultimately did not feature.

He finished the 2022/2023 season with one goal and one assist in 16 games in the U21 league, and in 2023/2024 he had 3 goals and 3 assists in 16 games. In the 2024/2025 half-season, he netted 8 goals and one assist in 13 games for the U21s before joining Vidi.

He was a regular player in the Swiss national junior teams. He made his debut for the U21 national team on 17 November 2023 in a 5-0 win against Armenia.

Kristian Sekularac has chosen the 28 shirt. Good luck at Vidi, Kris!
